Railway RRB Technician 2025 Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on the following stages:
1. Physical Standards Test (PST)
Male Candidates
Height: General/OBC – 167.5 cm; SC/ST – 162.5 cm
Chest (only males): General/OBC – 78–83 cm (expanded); SC/ST – 76–81 cm
Female Candidates
Height: General/OBC – 157 cm; SC/ST – 155 cm
Note: This is a qualifying measurement test—no marks are awarded.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Male Candidates:
5 km race to be completed in 24 minutes
Female Candidates:
1.6 km race to be completed in 8 minutes 30 seconds
Note: Pass/fail basis only.
3. Trade Test
A practical skill test specific to the trade applied for (e.g., cooking, washing, barbering, tailoring).
Tests may include tasks like cooking a dish, operating a sewing machine, cutting hair, etc.
This is qualifying in nature—candidates must pass but earn no marks.
4. Written Examination
Exam Pattern:
Mode: OMR-based or Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Total Questions: 100 MCQs
Total Marks: 100
Duration: 2 hours

5. Document Verification (DV)
Verification of educational certificates, age proof, category certificate, ITI/trade certificates, etc.

6. Medical Examination
Final stage medical fitness test covering vision, hearing, blood pressure, and overall physical health.
Candidates will be declared Fit or Unfit.

1. Physical Standards Test (PST) / शारीरिक मापदंड परीक्षा
पुरुष उम्मीदवारों के लिए:
ऊँचाई: सामान्य/OBC: 167.5 सेमी; SC/ST: 162.5 सेमी

1.6 किमी दौड़ को 8.30 मिनट में पूरा करना होगा।
केवल पास या फेल आधारित परीक्षा होती है।
3. Trade Test / ट्रेड टेस्ट
उम्मीदवार जिस ट्रेड (जैसे कि कुक, वॉशरमैन, बार्बर, टेलर आदि) के लिए आवेदन कर रहे हैं, उस ट्रेड की प्रैक्टिकल दक्षता की जांच की जाएगी।
स्किल्स जैसे खाना बनाना, कपड़े धोना, बाल काटना आदि परीक्षणों में शामिल हो सकते हैं।
यह टेस्ट क्वालिफाइंग नेचर का होगा (अंक नहीं जुड़ते लेकिन पास करना जरूरी है)।
4. Written Examination / लिखित परीक्षा

फर्जी दस्तावेज़ पाए जाने पर उम्मीदवार अयोग्य घोषित किया जाएगा।
6. Medical Examination / चिकित्सकीय परीक्षण
Final Stage में उम्मीदवारों का मेडिकल टेस्ट होगा।
Vision, hearing, blood pressure, physical deformities आदि की जांच की जाती है।
उम्मीदवार को Fit/Unfit घोषित किया जाएगा।
